Africa Nurses in Governance Initiative

The Initiative aims to advance the representation of nurses on governing boards and other governance roles in Africa. The NOBC brings more than a decade of experience in leading this forward with more than 10,000 nurses serving on boards in USA.

Both parties are collaborating together to be a leading force to prepare nurse leaders to become competent and comfortable to serve on governing roles and generate impact on health systems in Africa. Nurses have a vast amount of knowledge and experiences in health systems and patient-centric care and play a critical role in health service delivery. The initiative aims to bring their wisdom and insights into governance and decision-making processes and empower them to drive health system reforms in Africa. Additionally, the initiative would support their engagements in overcoming the challenges facing Human Resources for Health in the Continent.

Stay tuned as we launch the activities of the initiative early 2024.
